Timothy Koschmann is a Professor of Medical Education at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.  His research interests are in the area of communication studies, specializing in interaction in instructional settings.   His work is informed by prior research in conversation analysis and ethnomethodological workplace studies.  Descriptions of recent projects can be found at the website of the Collaboration & Learning Laboratory (CaLL).   Lists of recent publications and presentations are available.   Dr. Koschmann currently serves on the editorial boards of Discourse Processes, the Journal of the Learning Sciences, and the International Journal of Computer Support for Collaborative Learning.
